Bits and Pieces

5th yr is STRESSFUL!!!

Have been ultimately busy since uni re-started. Although my schedule is not as pack as the other students (phewwwwww..), having 2 days off in the first 2 weeks is lucky enough, I am still finding myself running out of time. Most time is wasted in waiting for the tutors, waiting for the patients, waiting for the lab works…

Patients cancellation is stressful as everybody is under the pressure of finishing all our final year cases before Easter. On top of that, we all need to share our sessions between our partners. We have limited clinical time to complete our treatments and many circumstances are beyond our control. How I wish if we can bring our patients home, get them treated, just like getting our homework done before going to bed, however dentistry doesn’t work that way. There is nothing that we can do other than planning the treatments well during our ‘free’ time, and praying very very very hard that our patients will be good, turning up to all their allocated sessions, also that there’s no emergency cases such as fallen crowns/bridges/fillings that we’ve to waste few more hours to get them sorted.

The internet at home is not helping at all. It disconnects every minute and we cant get anything loaded smoothly. Appearing 'online' on msn is embarrassing as we kept popping out on the others' notice @ the frequency of 30 times per minute... On the other hand, it gives us time to bond with our new housemates.

2 days of continuous patients’ cancellation is driving me crazy. A night out to Revolution on Wednesday has sacrificed my sleeping hours. Was already looking like a zombie the next morning, however in the afternoon I texted my housemate suggesting that we shall go on a shopping spree! He must have thought that I am joking but NO, I WASN'T. PL n I hopped onto the 250 bus right after our clinic, went to Trafford Centre, had a big meal. Still not feeling satisfied, we walked to the Krispy Kreme 2 miles away and bought 2 DOZENS of DOUGHNUTS!!!!

A phone call to Ming Yu made him the innocent victim. Well, he did make our day, giving our laughterssss back.

Many thanks to MING YU-- our doughnut supplier!!! ^^

Another patients’ DNA brought us to Kro 2 this afternoon.
ANOTHER BIG FAT MEAL!!!
Swear that we gunna be so fat and super broke by the end of the year if it goes on like this……. ><

At the positive point of view, I’m officially in my FINAL YEAR and I am still enjoying my course!!

Our weekends are fully occupied too. Tom and his friends came all the way from London to celebrate his birthday in Manchester last week.

Tomorrow will be an escape-day from Manchester, visiting a nearby town called Todmorden, which is just 30mins train from this busy city.

Next week will be ALTON TOWERS!!!!!!!!!! Hurraaaaaaaaaay!!!
Have been longing to go on the roller coasters and other rides again with friends, shout my lungs out, stroll along the autumn woods, and forget everything about Manchester!!! Yi Pin will be joining us this time. Yay!!!

Happiness is reachable, no matter how long it last, we should stop making our lives complicated...
Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss passionately, love truely, laugh constantly, n never stop smiling, no matter how strange life is...
Life is not always the partly we expected to be, but as long as we are here, we should smile & b grateful...Yt
