Christmas HOLIDAY!!

Time flies!!! It has been 2 months since we've started our 5th year.
2 months sounds very short, however i'm already knackered from the hustle and bustles in this city.

Manchester city is not even big. Not as busy as London nor Kuala Lumpur, but it is very happening. Probably not everybody agrees with this as UK is never as coluorful as some other Asian countries nor America. It is always dark and gloomy. You just have to make your life as happening as possible, which i always try. That is why i am already drained, just after 2 months of uni started.. Or else i'm getting older, loosing my fitness, not as energetic as i used to be..

NO! i did rather accept the 1st excuse. =p

Winter holiday is here! Which means the WINTER is here, which also means it's time for me to stay at home, eat loads and get fat! Which i will actually do because i eat when i have got nothing else to do and i get lazy and not be bothered to walk out to the gym nor to meet people, not doing shopping (which equals to mild exercises in fatty's dictionary)... The consequence is a nightmare!! I shall quickly come out with a good idea to break this bad cycle!

It's Saturday today - The first weekend and the first day of my Christmas holiday. I felt so lost in the morning when i just got up from bed. It feels so weird to have a holiday although I have been looking forward to this break! I didn't make much plan for this Christmas because i don't want to end up too busy like i used to in the previous years. I miss my room and i do want to spend some time enjoying the comfort in my room. Now that i have all the time that i want to myself, i felt lost. My mind went blank, feeling a little insecure having nothing in plan for today.

~STRANGE!~

Pei Lian saved me from the verge of falling into another mode of depression. An offer of her home-made banana cake dragged me out of my tropical room into the freezing world outside. It's -7C today!!!!!!!

It was a great chill out in her house. Rach and i were just hiding in PL's bed, watching her packing up for her London trip, feeling cozy and sleepy.. =p

It was snowing when PL and i left the house. It is freezing cold outside. I have not been exposed in this cold weather in a year and i am definitely struggling to get use to the temperature again .. I quickly run back to my room, switch my small blue portable heater on and sit right in front of it. Although it is tiny, it does its job well to keep its owner in warmth! ^^

2 days ago was the 1st snow of this winter in Manchester, which is also called- The Virgin Snow. I was wrapped up in my duvet, enjoyed my evening reading my newly bought story book "The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time", under the dim incandescent light, with a jazzy music played. I haven't been reading a story book for a long long time and i do miss reading them.

It will be nice to sit inside a cafe when it is snowing, beside a long-span window which stretches from the ceiling to the ground, with a book in your hand and a hot chocolate in front, and to have a smooth jazz or a Grand piano played the background music. This is one of the activity that i will surely miss if i am back in Malaysia ..

The God of Evil Dentists!

Have you ever heard of a Professor telling his students to:

1. finish up an apple in 2 bites?
2. feel your teeth pulsating?
3. not believe a patient who came into the surgery with a broken teeth claiming that he just had some bread.
4. eat ONLY ANIMALS.
5. stick a toffee on the dog's palate?
6. throw the dentures on the patient?

Well... We've just met Professor Yongson (The Head of School from the University of Liverpool) on Fri and he is one SPECIAL man with a character of a comedian!

He was giving us a 2 hours of lecture about occlusion.

It's *OCCLUSION*!!!

All dental students shall know what kind of stresses that 'occlusions' can cause. We've been trying to run far away from patients with problems in occlusion and we dare not want to mention a word of occlusion in the VIVA exam! So can u imagine how complicated n BORING the lecture can turn out to be?

However this guy made the whole 2 hours worth the 5 years of my study! He is my source of evil n crazy ideas..

This is my 1st time having a lecturer telling us:

1. It's an interesting competition between your colleague -- Who can finish an apple in the least bite.

2. Go to bed tonight, relax, feel the tip of your teeth pulsating, when your can feel it, then shift your concentration to your brain, the cells , and then move down to your spine..

If you can feel them, YOU'RE ALIVE!

3. Do not believe a patient who came into the surgery with a broken teeth claiming that he just had some bread. He can't "JUST EAT BREAD!!" It's CRUST!

4. DO NOT EAT VEGETABLES! It's not what your teeth are made for! Animals eat them for you!

5. Chew a toffee and stick it to the dog's palate, watch them struggling! (coz they only bite vertically)

6. After you made the dentures for the patient, throw them back to the patient. If they can catch it, then they can wear it. If not, good! Don't bother to remake. They will never be able to wear one!

Last but not least, please do dentistry in confident. Don't worry. If your patient left the surgery and never come back to see you, then you did just fine. If they do return, then you're damn!

His conclusion is..
"nothing can change the patient's occlusion! Not you, not the lecture. They're just UNPREDICTABLE!"

~~~hahahhahahhahahhahhahahhhh~~~
Tonight i am gunna feel my teeth pulsating and................ ALIVE! ^^
