Restless week

UK is not that depressing after all..

It was a very good weekend. The sun was out!!!! -- the most important factor that leads us to exciting outdoor activities. Gives my energy back.. =D

Grandpa came up from Reading for the weekend. We went on a hiking trip with E.Swan in a British small town called Hebden Bridge. The most popular " Pennine Way" which one of the transport company adopted the name from, is just a few miles away from this lovely town.
Our initial plan was to hike from Hebden Bridge town centre to the Pennine Way and make a circle back to Hedben Bridge through Hardcastle Craggs. Estimated length of route is 7-8 miles. As we believed that we will definitely be able to finish our mission, all 3 of us were in high spirits when we set off.
With no maps in hands, the 3 bold idiots manage to find the tourist info centre and asked for directions. However, the old lady in the tourist info pointed us to the wrong direction!! We only found out after 1 1/2 hr of walk.. It was a bit too late to draw a compass.. and when we did actually get it out, no one knows how to read a blaaaardy COMPASS!! ==" So we took a bus back to the town and carry on walking to the west.

After asking a couple of helpful passers by on our way, we noticed that Pennine way is 'a-lil-bit-too-far" from where we were. Seeing our empty hands and with just 2 pitily small carrier bags, a man even gave us a thorough scan and burst out:" Where do u plan to lodge?" --
errrrrmmm~~~~~~~~~~~~
We arrived in another village nearby - Heptonstall after about another 1 1/2 hrs of hike..

the tired faces ;p

The splendid view from the top of the hill worth our trip! NO REGRETS!

~~*Ding.. Dong.. Ding.. Dong*~~
A wedding ceromony was taking place when we passed by an old church.

It was already quite late when we got back to Hebden Bridge. Didnt ended up goin to Hardcastle Craggs. As there was some time to wait for the next train, we took a stroll around the Hebdon.

Arrived Manc in the evening. The day is still bright. Went out for dinner in Genghis Khan with Grandpa's coursemates, and then a catch up in Kro-bar for the rest of the evening.

SUN:

Get to hold my racquet finally!!! Havent been playing badminton in such a long while! Am getting shitty again in my skills.. =S NEED MORE TRAININGS!!
After badminton, we went for tea break, sitting outside Kro-bar under the sun. Abdullah was so reluctant to go home and so.. we just sat around, chit-chat..
Our tea break extended to dinner...
This is what JObless ppl do.. ;p

Summer is just too good as the sun sets at 10pm!!! hohohhhh

Mon:

Started our busy-working life again. 9am - 5.30pm with just a 10 mins break in the middle of the day drained me out. Was super tired after work. Was so thrilled that Abdullah suggested that we go for dinner!! Yes!!! We do need a NICE GOOD MEAL!!!!!! Off we (rach, wh n abdul) go... Skipping my way to New Samsi, fascinated by just thinking of the sushi-ssssssss!! A piece of Ton Katsu (krispy pork bread crumbs) + sushis+ fried banana + vanilla ice-cream+ green tea + a bit of Plum Sake and of coz, a long chill out with friends made my day!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tues:

Another long day of work in outreach, but this time, we're not even tired from work but waiting..Lots of time wasted as patients either cancelled or DNA. Get no work done at all today, but a whine from a jobless NURSE which just pisses me off! All they do is nothing but to sit in the office, having countless tea breaks, b*tch about other ppl, eye on us-STUDENTS and pick on little things! Dr Hopwood- our LEGAND must have trained his patience from these nurses..

A huge cup of ice Milo made my day worth again!! hehehh.. Little Fusion!! a place to ask for anything that you want, even it's not in the menu! =D
Was out till 1.30 am. Exhausted..

Wed:

~NEED MORE SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP~

Was literally falling asleep in PBL, yawning in front of my tutor! Oooops...
