Toulouse

A spontaneous decision brought us to a small city in France-Toulouse for a short get-away.

 

 

Pin and i felt so helpless when it comes to food ordering and asking for directions. Our index finger was the most useful communication tool throughout the trip. We were so relief when our youngest sister arrived. I was truly amazed listening to her speaking in French! 

A whole weekend full of pastries made me sick. To be honest, I did actually missed UK just after a day in Toulouse. What a shame..

We took a train to Foix (pronounced as FoA) on Sunday. It was a rush as we got the timing wrong ( it is 1 hr ahead of uk). The ticketing lady was so excited seeing us running for the train, shouting out to us that there were only 4 minutes before the train left! 

It was snowing very heavily. Foix was painted in white.

 A French lady was so kind enough to drive us to the university when we were lost. 

Shan's lecturer called a cab for us to get back. 

Another long delay made us missed the connecting flight back to Manchester. We stayed a night in Munich, Germany.

A very brief meeting up with family. 

A weekend full of warmth in heart.

An enjoyable adventure. 

An excellent experience.

Another dream that came true...

and...

A hard decision to drop. 

Just hoping that i am not being a coward nor an idiot,

and pray that i did made the right choice.

It was a big relieve after handing in the last piece of coursework of my undergraduate degree!

It has been  nearly 6 years since i have properly been back to KK
My memory of these places is starting to fade..
Although these pictures were taken from the places that i have always visited, they do look a little unfamiliar now...

I've actually been brought up in a Heaven! ^^

Another Evil Thought

If you happened to get hold of some pictures of your mate, taken when he/she was young (especially the ones taken once upon a time, when he/she was doing something really embarrassing or stupid that your mate cannot even recall... that will be the best!), what you want to do is to keep the pictures safe and well hidden. It will come into great use in future! Make sure that there's no way for him/her to find and destroy them!
Next.......
Wait for the best time to take it out. (I say IT.. not THEM, because you don't want to show them all together. You reveal them one by one and intensify the degree of traumatic level that will cause each time.) So, you'll be keeping the worst and looking towards his/her 40, 50 year old birthday with the kids, big family and buddies around. Do not post it all up in one shot during his/her wedding...
Heheeehhh.... now you have got something in hand to threaten your poor mate...

Talking about Orthodontists....

Dr A. J classifies people with malocclusion. Especially if the person has got a massive overjet or severe Class II or Class III skeletal pattern. He'll sure notice and remember their face. So, if he doesn't recognizes you, blame your gene!

He was just telling us how to find the person in the Architecture department who can help us to print our presentation cases nicely. All the description that he gave of the man was:" Ha has got a massive Class III mandible(lower jaw) that sticks miles out and you cannot miss it!"


All Orthodontists are evil...

Why?

Because they don't like 'dirty jobs'.
They are the mastermind behind the horror scene.

So what do they do?

They make treatment plannings and instruct their fellow GDP (General Dental Practitioner) and Oral Surgeon colleagues do the bloody jobs- drilling, chiseling, slaughtering...

This is how they keep their hands clean.

We did have a taste of their work, messing about with the brackets, fiddling with the elastics and kinking the wires in place.
It is not as easy as it looks... But it is very clean indeed!
